The city is calling!

Many cities of Baden-Wuerttemberg have an old and eventful history. Big sophisticated metropolises as well as romantic half-timbering towns and famous spa towns attract visitors.

Don´t miss visiting Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Whoever thinks about Stuttgart thinks about Mercedes and Porsche, about High Tech and the computer industry, about the football club VfB Stuttgart, the „Cannstatter Wasen Volksfest“, the ballett, varied leisure and entertainment possibilities and maybe about the „Äffle and Pferdle“, and the Swabian cuisine like “Spätzle” and wine.

Constance, the largest city at Lake Constance, invites visitors to a stroll through medieval alleys. The four-country region has an unmistakable flair with its proximity to neighboring Switzerland, Austria and Lichtenstein. Heidelberg, the romantic city with its beautiful castle offers another unmistakable flair. The first university in Germany was founded here. Another well-known university town is Tuebingen. Famous people like Schiller or Hoelderlin did appreciate this city on the river Neckar. A punting trip on the Neckar makes you feel like being in Venice.

Enjoy the baroque feeling of life in the former margravial city of Karlsruhe and the medieval flair of Freiburg's city centre. Are you interested in jewellery and clocks, then Pforzheim is the place to be. In Ulm and around Ulm there is plenty to discover, for example the Ulm cathedral tower, which is the highest church tower in the world with over 161 m in height. Other destinations are cities like Schwäbisch Hall with its medieval city centre, Heilbronn – which already inspired poets like Kleist, the noble gambling town of Baden-Baden as well as Mannheim, the city of squares or Weinheim, the twin-castle town.
