The hostel is located half way up the hill in the eastern district of Stuttgart-Mitte.
Arriving by public transport
From Stuttgart main station by tram
Take the tram U15 (direction: „Ruhbank/Fernsehturm“ or. „Heumaden“ (every 10 minutes) get off at „Eugensplatz (Jugendherberge)“. Cross the road and follow the rail tracks up the hill for about 100m. Turn left into Hausmannstraße the hostel is 50 m on your left.

From Schlossplatz by Bus
Bus 42 (direction: „Erwin-Schöttle-Platz“) get of at „Eugensplatz (Jugendherberge)“. For further description see arival by tram.
From Schlossplatz by night bus
With the night bus line N7 from the City to our youth hostle: Always during the night to Friday, Saturday, Sundays and Bank holidays at 01:20, 02:30, 03:40 o´clock from „Schlossplatz“ to „Eugensplatz (Jugendherberge)“.
From Stuttgart Airport by S-Bahn
S-Bahn lines S2 and S3 from Stuttgarter Airport directly to Stuttgart central station. From the central Station tot he youth Hostel please see „arrival by tram.“
From Stuttgart Central Station by foot
The Youth Hostel is 15 minutes walking distance away from the central station. Please be aware that the route changes regulary due to construction work for Stuttgart 21. Please note that approxmiatly 350 stairs and 100m altitude difference need to be overcome. For this reason we recomend to arrive by tram.

Arrival by bus/car
Coming from Munich/Karlsruhe (A8)
Take Exit „Stuttgart-Degerloch/Stuttgart-Zentrum/B27“. Follow towards Stuttgart-Zentrum (approx. 10 km). Turn right into Alexanderstr. which leads into Hausmannstr. at Eugensplatz. Turn left into Hausmannstr. at the crossing. The Youth Hostel in on left .
Coming from Heilbronn (A81)
Take exit „Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen/Stuttgart-Zentrum/B10“. Follow B10 towards the town centre (approx. 7 km). Change to B27 towards „Town centre/Tübingen“. Please note that in order to stay on B27 you need to turn right onto "Theodor-Heuss-Straße" towards „Stuttgart Degerloch/Tübingen“ abbiegen. At Olgaeck turn left onto Alexanderstraße which leads into Haußmannstraße at Eugensplatz. Turn left into Haußmannstraße at the crossing. The Youth Hostel is on the left.
From Singen (A81)
At interchange Stuttgart change to A8 direction Munich an take exit „Stuttgart-Degerloch/Stuttgart-Zentrum/B27“. Follow B27 towards Stuttgart-Zentrum (approx. 10 km). At Olgaeck turn right into Alexanderstr. which will change into Hausmannstr. At the crossing turn left into Hausmannstr. The Youth Hostel is on the left.
Please note that we do not have own parking.
Car parking is available on Hausmannstraße. Pleae obay the parking regulations from the city council. Parking costs are € 0,80 per hour or € 8,60 for a day ticket. Parking is free between 10.00pm and 6am as well as Sundays and bank holidays. Please do not park on disabled parking spots and on car parking for electronic vehicles – Your car could be towed away.
Environment protection area
Stuttgart is an environment protection area. That means, your car needs a green emision sticker. Only vehicles with certain emissios group are allowed into the town centre. Because of this the amount of fine particules in the air is reduced. This is implemented in Germany in environmental zones.
Also commuters and tourist from Germany and abroad need a green enviroment badge for their vehicle.
Diesel traffic ban
The state of Baden-Wuerttemberg introduced a year-round traffic ban on all diesel motor vehicles of Euro 4 emission standard or lower. The ban is valid throughout the environmental zone of Stuttgart from January 1st, 2019. Diesel motor vehincles of Euro 5 emission standard are actually excluded from the ban. Information for bus drivers
Busses are not allowed to park on Hausmannstraße. Violating this rule could result in the bus being towed away. Infront of the Youth Hostel there is a space to le tour passengers. Stuttgart town council recommends following bus parking: Münzstraße/Dorotheenstraße, Jahnstraße/Guts-Muths-Weg, Konrad-Adenauerstraße are free oder Cannstatter Wasen (liable to charges).

The lines S2 and S3 go directly to Stuttgart main-station. From there see above.
Parking slots
1 handicapped parking space near the entrance.
You can find a parking space free of charges in the Haußmannstraße. It is not allowed to park busses in the Haußmannstraße. Next free bus-parking area is: Karlsplatz, Breitscheidstraße, Nordbahnhofstraße or Cannstatter Wasen.
