Admission of preregistered groups possible

Hostel is open all year round except Christmas.

The youth hostel is located directly inside Stuttgarts Event Zone: Cannstatter Wasen, Mercedes- Benz Arena, Hanns-Martin-Schleyerhalle and Porsche-Arena Stuttgart.

Arriving by public transport

Stuttgart main station. From there take the suburban train S1, S2, S3 (direction: Kirchheim/Teck, Schorndorf, Backnang) to the stop Bad Cannstatt.

From there follow the tracks Cannstatter Wasen. After the underpass turn left. You'll find the hostel's entrance on the left side after the next crossing.

By nightbus from Schloßplatz :
Easy by nightbus-line N5 from Schloßplatz to the hostel: Every Friday, Saturday and day before a holiday at 01:11, 02:00, 02:00, 02:22, 03:10 and 03:33 from Schloßplatz to the stop Elwertstraße

Rail service for DJH members
The Community Travel GmbH offers DJH members discounted RIT tickets for a return journey within Germany - this applies only in conjunction with stays in a hostel. School classes and groups can make use of this offer. You must carry confirmation of your booking with you when travelling.

Our partner can handle your enquiry via the booking hotline +49 4845  79 18 464 or www.anreise-jugendherberge.de. Payment must be made ​​by direct debit. Tickets will be sent by post or online by e-mail. In the event of a cancellation, the ticket may be returned free of charge to the agency up to the first day of travel.

Arriving by car/bus

From direction München (Munich) (A8):
Exit Wendlingen. Turn to B313 and B10 direction Stuttgart. Follow the signs for Stadion/Neckarpark. Turn left before the Schleyer-Halle into the Mercedesstraße. After ca. 700m turn right in the Elwertstraße. You´ll find the youth hostel on your left hand side.

From direction Karlsruhe (A8) and Singen (A81):
Turn to A831 direction Stuttgart City at the Stuttgarter cross. This will lead automatically to the B14. Follow the B14 through the city centre up to the Wilhelma. From there follow the tracks for Stadion/Neckarpark. At the Cannstatter Wasen turn left into Elwertstraße.

From direction Heilbronn (A81):
Exit Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. Then take the B10 in direction of Stadion/Neckarpark. At the Cannstatter Wasen turn left into Elwertstraße.

Low emission zone Stuttgart
From January 1st in 2013, a (green) EURO 4 Sticker is needed to get access to all existing low emission zones in Baden-Wuerttemberg. To avoid problems, please get your sticker before travelling to our Youth Hostel.

Diesel traffic ban
The state of Baden-Wuerttemberg introduced a year-round traffic ban on all diesel motor vehicles of Euro 4 emission standard or lower. The ban is valid throughout the environmental zone of Stuttgart from January 1st, 2019. Diesel motor vehincles of Euro 5 emission standard are actually excluded from the ban. Arriving by plane

From the airport by suburban train: The lines S2 and S3 go directly to the station Bad Cannstatt. From there see above.

Parking

Please consider that we don't have own parking slots. You can find a parking space free of charges in the Kegelinstraße.
