The view across the island is breathtaking. Beach, dunes and mudflats are softly framed by the sea. The best views can be enjoyed from the lighthouse. The 300 steps do require a bit of stamina, but then visitors are rewarded with a magnificent view over the island of Amrum and the 10 small Halligen islands. Also worth seeing is the town of Nebel, where you can not only find the most thatched cottages, but you can also feel the Frisian roots of this ancient seafaring town. You should definitely join a mudflat hike to the island of Föhr. Boat trips run to the Halligen islets or to the seal banks. The hostel offers regular amber polishing workshops.
