CAMPING ON SYLT  The campsite of the Westerland Youth Hostel is situated in the middle of the dunes, with a short path leading through the dunes to the beach. The campsite is located 4 km outside the city center and is open from May (weather permitting) until September.

THE CAMPSITE  of the Westerland Youth Hostel is divided into two areas: while one section is reserved for minors with their own tents, the other section is equipped with beautiful and spacious tents with beds and wooden floors for groups and classes.

WITH YOUR OWN TENT  you can rent a camping pitch on our grounds. Please bring a permission slip from your parents stating that you are allowed to stay with us. Only for minors.

IN THE DJH TENT  for youth groups. Our modern large tents are suitable for 8 people (24 sqm, center height 2.50 m, wooden floor, beds). Please bring a sleeping bag or bed linen and pillow.

BATHROOMS  A well-maintained sanitary building with showers and toilets is available to you. Group leaders have access to separate rooms in the shower house.

GROUP LEADERS  have their own tents and bathroom facilities. The leader's tent comes equipped with a table and chairs.

FULL BOARD  Breakfast, packed lunches, and a hot dinner are provided in the dining room (included). Cooking your own meals is not permitted for safety reasons.

YOUR HOSTS  are the dedicated hostel parents Anja and Christian Sorgatz with their team.

YOUR PROGRAM  Beach, stand-up paddling and surfing, mudflat walks, Sylt Aquarium, Sylter Welle leisure pool, boat trips, seal watching tours, exploring Sylt by bike, island bus tour.
