Experience the mudflats in Tönning

Vast, sparkling surfaces as far as the eye can see - go to the North Sea coast on a guided mudflat excursion. In "Multimar Wattforum", the visitor will learn about the Wadden Sea by means of modern computer and media technology and large aquariums. What is particularly worth seeing in Tönning are the church, the Kanalpackhaus ("canal packing building") and the idyllic harbour. The nearby Eider barrage is an impressive construction. Twice a day, more than 40 million cubic metres of water flow through the floodgates in line with the tides.
