Welcome to the picture-postcard village in the Black Forest! Menzenschwand, a district of the town of St Blasien, is 850 m to 1350 m above sea level, in the Feldberg Nature Reserve.
The trees in the forest rustle. The droplets from the waterfall sparkle in the sun. Menzenschwand is the picture-book village in the Black Forest. Walks through the beautiful valley in the Feldberg Nature Reserve are almost compulsory. The trails lead to the highest peaks of the Black Forest. And if the weather is not so great, then the former Benedictine abbey in St Blasien, with its large domed church, is worth a visit. Or how about going to the "Le Petit Salon Winterhalter" museum in Menzenschwand? Franz Xaver Winterhalter, a painter famous for portraits of royalty in the 19th century, was born here. Just want to relax? Then go to the thermal baths!
Menzenschwand Youth Hostel is located at the entrance of the village of Menzenschwand, towards of St Blasien. It is situated in a 350-year-old Black Forest house. Very rustic. The hipped roof that goes far down makes for a pleasant atmosphere. Want to go 'home'? Hungry? In the evening, enjoy delicious dishes from the Baden region.
The Menzenschwand Youth Hostel team is looking forward to your visit!
