Being located in the far southwest of Germany makes Lörrach particularly appealing. Stroll through the former imperial city, go on a trip to Alsace, Switzerland or the nearby Black Forest; in the summer, the theatre performances in the ruins of Rötteln Castle and the International Festival of Voices, together with the Mediterranean flair of the town, attract many visitors. The hostel is located between the districts of Lörrach-Stetten and Lörrach-Salzert, right next to the edge of the woods. The town centre is about 3 km away.

Arriving by public transport
Travel to Basel train station. Take the S6 S-Bahn train line to Lörrach-Stetten train station, then take number 7 bus to the "Jugendherberge" ("Youth Hostel") stop.

Arriving by car/bus
Coming by bus/car: take the A5 (Karlsruhe-Basel) and the A98. Or if you're coming from the east, take the B34 (Hochrheinstraße - High Rhine Route) and then take the B316 as of Rheinfelden.
Or drive on the B317 through the Wiesental valley.

There are free parking spaces and enough places for busses in front of the Youth Hostel.
