The wonderful Tegernsee is nestled in this breathtaking Alpine setting. Close by, in the mountaineering village of Kreuth, you'll find our Kreuth-Scharling Family|Youth Hostel. Families, mountain romantics, school classes, athletes - everyone feels at ease here. Also primary school classes. For the little adventurers, we have special programs with the "curriculum-supporting" seal of approval.

A blaze of color in summer, a snow paradise in winter
With hiking boots or a bike, you can experience the Bavarian Pre-Alps with their magnificent views. Lake Tegernsee is perfect for sporting activities such as swimming, windsurfing or sailing.
In winter, you'll find a snow paradise and a meeting point for skiing fans and tobogganing enthusiasts. It's only 10 minutes from our youth hostel to the ski slope. The 38-kilometer cross-country ski trail runs right past the youth hostel and the toboggan run is just 5 minutes away.
