Facilities for wheelchair users
At refurbishment- and new construction works we`re taking especially care of a wheelchair accessible designing of the rooms. All of the seminar houses ( except youth hostel Blankenheim and youth hostel Simmerath-Rurberg) are accessible. Certainly they dispose of appropriate rooms, elevators, baths and barrier-free reachable conference rooms. Please quote the number of wheelchair users amongst your participants, so that we are able to dispose.

Book your seminar or conference directly at the seminar- or conference house of your choice- most rapidly by phone, E-Mail or FAX. On request you can arrange a consulting- or viewing date, or send a booking request.

Leisure time
Our houses are not just ideal places for intensive working. They are always offering the framework for varied leisure time activities as well: for example a volleyball match, a visit of the on-site sauna, relaxed conversations in the bistro or the fireplace room, an eventful day trip into the attractive environment or restful walks in the forest just behind the house.
Site
In the Bergische Land, in the Eifel or at the Lower Rhine: all of the conference venues are located in a quiet surrounding and are usually good reachable by public transport or the own car. Parking places are at your disposal directly at the house or in proximity. You will find detailed arrivaldescriptions on the internet sites of the respective youth hostels.
Membership
The Deutsche Jugendherbergswerk (DJH) is a registered society. For plugging into the offers of our houses, a DJH group membership for your company or organisation is needed. Your benefit: not every participant of your event has to be a DJH member. You will receive the membership card for groups from the DJH-Service-Center Rhineland
Opening hours
The opening- and reception desk time varies from house to house. Usually seminar- and conference groups will receive a key. You will find the exact times on the sites of the houses.
Prices
Guests from 27 years on (27 Plus) have to pay a surcharge of 2,00 to 4,00 Euro per overnight stay. All of the prices are subject to VAT.
Conference Consulting
So that your conference can proceed perfectly, before,during and after your event our staff will be at your side to ensure a personal and professional service one-stop. Our service-teams will gladly give suggestions on range and designing of the rooms, planning of the meals and the leisure time.
Conference Flat Rates/Prices
Usually the youth hostels are offering varied possibilities to configure a personal conference offer, so conference flat rates with or without overnight stay as well. Non-profit organisations will receive 10% rebate on their conference room rental. Furthermore individual conference arrangements are always possible. Just ask us!

-1 overnight stay in a multi-bed room (double- or single rooms at a premium), respectively 1 overnight stay for seminar facilitators in single rooms without extra charge.

Conference rooms
All of the conference rooms have natural daylight, are bright and friendly designed, and can be seated as requested. Most of the rooms are offering a view into the countryside, some of them are equipped with a separate balcony or a direct exit outside. Usually the conference rooms are easily reachable for wheelchair users.
Conference technique
All of the conference rooms are equipped with most recent media- and presentation technique, and are disposed of a beamer. The conference technique is bookable flexible. Furthermore internet access is usually available in nearly every room. Please take out the exact descriptions of the facilities from the Tabelle “Tagungsausstattung“
Attendance
The room capacity ranges from 5 to 120 persons, according to the respective houses. For bigger events up to 5oo participants, our houses are -upon consultation- entirely at your disposal.
Appointments
From midst of November until approx midst of March, the Character-Quarters are usually less heavily frequented. So at this time you will find the biggest room offer for your events.
Catering
The kitchen-teams of the character-quarters appreciate a light, varied and balanced menue. All of the meals are offered as a buffet. Medical, vegetarian and religious caused meal wishes will certainly be considered. The lunchtimes are determined by your seminar schedule. Beside breakfast, lunch and dinner you will get on request beverages, fruits, coffee&cake in the afternoon, snacks and lunch boxes.
