But also the historical „Kriemhildmühle“, which is still in operation these days, is worth a visit. Up for motion? The surrounding of Xanten is ideal for cycling: with the „Lower-Rhine-route“, „Rhine-cycling path“ and the „Via Romana“ the city is located right near 3 popular cycling-paths in Germany. You rather like to be on the road on foot? Than off to the Bislicher island, there you will find one of the yet existing meadow landscapes in Germany.
Ahoy in the youth hostel Xanten
The youth hostel Xanten is located directly at the banks of the „Xantener Southsea“. Logical, that the house is attracting with numerous aquatic sports offers such as sailing, diving, surfing and water ski especially active guests, families and school classes. Due to the modern rooms with shower and toilet and the uncomplicated atmosphere the house is also popular for music- and congress groups. Nine bright rehearsal- and conference rooms, many of them with a view onto the Southsea, are providing ideal conditions for rehearsing and learning. In the evening time and at the breaks the bistro as well as the outdoor terrace are popular meeting points- also for people with mobility impairments. Our youth hostel was proofed of accessibility and certified with the uniform nationwide seal „Travelling for Everyone“.
