Did you know that Radevormwald is one of the oldest towns in the Bergisches Land region? But that's not all: the town is also one of the highest in the administrative district of Cologne and is therefore also known as the "town on the heights". The historic old town with its typical Bergisch half-timbered houses invites you to take a leisurely stroll. The city's landmark - a skyline of four church towers - is best admired from the outside, e.g. on a hike. Numerous short and longer circular tours and rambles will take you through the Wupper valley or past factories of industrial historical significance to the textile industry. Unique landscapes and views are guaranteed! For those who prefer to travel by bike, there are several circular routes of varying lengths. School classes set off into the wilderness with a compass, map and climbing rope and find many an adventure along the way.
Old but mighty: Radevormwald Youth Hostel
Welcome to the second oldest youth hostel in the world. But don't worry: you don't have to do without modern standards. The hostel has been lovingly renovated and modern elements have been added to the historic building. The friendly and comfortable twin, multi-bed and family rooms are brightly furnished and all have their own bathroom with shower and WC. The large outdoor area is the place for action - here you can play basketball or table tennis and put your accuracy to the test at the goal wall shooting. In the evening, there's plenty of socializing - on the barbecue area, at the campfire site or in the disco.
