You'll find our Oberammergau Youth Hostel in the heart of the Bavarian mountains. Whether excursions with a youth group, unforgettable days for school classes or family holidays: our hostel offers the perfect backdrop.


Alpine study centre for nature enthusiasts
Nature takes centre stage here. Numerous programmes turn our youth hostel into an Alpine study site. To this end, we work closely with experts from the region and various associations. Together we bring you closer to the fascinating world of the Alps. Here in rugged mountains and unspoilt nature, it's all about learning, experiencing and understanding.


On foot or by bike - everything is possible. In this unique environment, a stay with us is the right thing for summiteers and mountain bikers. No matter what level of difficulty you are looking for, we have something suitable for every fitness level. For sports fans, we offer various programmes such as climbing courses on our 14-metre-high indoor wall. How about archery and team training on the mountain pasture? That's also possible with us. The choice is yours.
After the tours, you can enjoy the evening sun on our campfire site or on the terrace with a marvellous mountain view.


Pure winter fun
In winter, it's time to strap on your skis or board and hit the piste! There's plenty on offer here in the colder months too. Our youth hostel is right in the centre of the snow fun. Would you prefer to enjoy the snow in peace and quiet? Then excursions on cross-country skis are ideal for you. If you are travelling light, skis and sledges are available for hire. We are also happy to organise transfers to the piste.
