Building teepees and wooden huts, watching wildlife and making your own fire over which to cook a tasty soup - this "survival training" is just one part of the range of activitiy programmes on offer at Neudorf Youth Hostel. The Hostel's excellent location, surrounded as it is by woodland and gushing mountain streams at the foot of the Fichtelberg - at an impressive 1215 metres, Saxony's highest mountain - sets the scene perfectly.
