Arriving by public transport
Travel by train to Beuron in the Danube Valley. The hostel is a 5-km walk away from Beuron train station. The shuttle bus can be booked with the Janzen company in advance on 07570 - 474.
From May 1st, 2018 the nature park bus connects Wildenstein castle with Beuron, the Campus Galli and the city of Meßkirch on Sundays and holidays. A timetable and further information you can find on the website of the nature park (only available in German language).
In school holidays during April 1st to October 31st there is an additional on-call bus from and to Wildenstein castle. Timetable and further information you will find here.
Rail service for DJH members
The Community Travel GmbH offers DJH members discounted RIT tickets for a return journey within Germany - this applies only in conjunction with stays in a hostel. School classes and groups can make use of this offer. You must carry confirmation of your booking with you when travelling.

Tickets will be sent by post or online by e-mail. In the event of a cancellation, the ticket may be returned free of charge to the agency up to the first day of travel.
Footpath: The Footpath to the Youth Hostel from the main train station takes about 60 to 90 minutes and follows along the Danube or the "Hangweg".
Donauweg (ca. 6 km)
When you step out of the main train station, take the street on the opposite side. You cross the bridge over the Danube and walk along the Danube on the cycle track and footpath for approx. 3 km You cross the second Danube bridge and walk uphill to the Youth Hostel (Follow the signs for Burg Wildenstein).
Hangweg (ca. 5 km)
When you step out of the main train station, follow the street on the left side until you reach the main street. There turn left (Buchheimer Straße). After the railway viaduct, pass the small premises and turn left into the forest. At the cross turn left and follow the signs for Burg Wildenstein.
Arrival by bike: The Youth Hostel is located about 200 meters above the Danube cycle track between Beuron and Haussen im Tal. Follow the bicycle sign to Burg Wildenstein. It is a graveled road which is very steep. Be prepared to push your bike for approx. 45 Minute uphill. Alternatively, you can follow the street from Beuron to Leibertingen or take the street von Haussen im Tal via Lengenfeld to Leibertingen.

Arriving by car/bus
You can drive to the castle via the A81 Stuttgart-Singen, Tuttlingen exit, or via the B313 Stockach-Sigmaringen or the B311-Riedlingen Messkirch, taking the Leibertingen turn-off.
