Locations & directions

The hostel is located in the lower part of the town of Lauenburg on the River Elbe and the popular Elberadweg cycle route. The town centre is 2 km away. You can get to the youth hostel by taking the train to Lauenburg and then a number 31 bus to the "Albinusstraße" stop.

The modern accommodation and conference venue offers a high level of comfort, hospitality and a friendly atmosphere. 79 beds in single and double rooms, maisonettes for families (4 beds), all rooms have a shower/WC, cosy dining room with bistro, lounge with fireplace and TV, W-LAN, a playing field with a sandpit, barbecue area, billiards, table football and board games available for rental. The highlight of the hostel is its sauna and small gym. Seminar rooms for up to 90 people are available for conferences and seminars; extensive conference facilities and tasty meals can be provided.

Lauenburg on the River Elbe

Lauenburg is a charming town on the River Elbe. The narrow streets of the historical lower part of the town boast many picturesque half-timbered houses. Enjoy a walk or a bike ride along the high banks of the Elbe. The Elberadweg cycle route is one of the most popular cycle routes in Germany. If anyone prefers to see the landscape from the water, they can do so on a boat trip on the Elbe or the Elbe Lateral Canal (Elbe-Seitenkanal). Nearby, you can visit the oldest preserved chamber-lock in northern Europe, the so-called "Palmschleuse". The high ropes course near the Elbe and the butterfly garden in Friedrichsruh are popular nearby attractions.
