Located in the traditional "Musikwinkel" instrument-making region, the town of Klingenthal doesn't just promise visitors that it will hit the high notes on locally made musical instruments; it also boasts magnificent hiking, cycle and skiing routes through Germany's most densely forested nature park, the Ore Mountains/Vogtland Nature Park. The Youth Hostel provides direct access to the "Kammloipe" ("Ridge" cross-country trail) and is nestled on the Aschberg at an altitude of 936 metres, right on the Czech border.
