Big city with Baltic Sea flair

Welcome to Kiel

Which German city boasts beautiful sandy beaches? And where can you just take a ferry to Norway and Sweden? Kiel is practically built around water, which is why water-based activities make up a large part of the leisure option. In the summer, visitors can bathe at one of the numerous beaches and boat trips are also an absolute highlight. Children love the seal pool at the fjord and adults enjoy a leisurely shopping trip in the pedestrian zone. If you stay at the hostel on the east bank, you'll enjoy a fantastic view of the maritime state capital.

What do our guests love about Kiel?
  • Located on Kiel Fjord
  • Ships in the middle of the city
