Heilbronn at the Neckar river is located at the foot of Löwenstein mountains. The wine and industrial town of Heilbronn is also nicknamed „Käthchenstadt“ according to the play „Käthchen von Heilbronn“ („Katie of Heilbronn“) by Heinrich von Kleist. The Youth Hostel is located in the center of the city on the grounds of the city’s exhibition Neckarbogen, a part of the Bundesgartenschau 2019 area.
Arriving by public transport
Arriving by train
Coming from the station you can reach our Youth Hostel by foot within 800m. After leaving the station turn left towards city center. After around 300m you will reach Stadtbahn (train) stop "Neckarturm". At the crossing "Experimenta" turn left again and pass the Experimenta. 200m straight ahead you will arrive the Youth Hostel.
Arriving by „Stadtbahn“
You can take our Stadtbahn (train) line S4 (coming from Karlsruhe) or line S42 (coming from Mosbach) until stop "Neckarturm". At the crossing "Experimenta" turn left again and pass the Experimenta. 200m straight ahead you will arrive the Youth Hostel.
Rail service for DJH members
The Community Travel GmbH offers DJH members discounted RIT tickets for a return journey within Germany - this applies only in conjunction with stays in a hostel. School classes and groups can make use of this offer. You must carry confirmation of your booking with you when travelling.

Coming from direction Stuttgart/Würzburg
Take the Autobahn A81. At "Weinsberger Kreuz" change to the A6 into direction "Heidelberg/Mannheim“ and take exit 37 "Heilbronn/Neckarsulm". From there drive to „Europaplatz“. At the roundabout traffic take the exit "Wohngebiet Neckarbogen".
Coming from direction Heidelberg/Mannheim
Take the Autobahn A6 and leave at exit 36 "Heilbronn/Untereisesheim". From there drive to „Europaplatz“. At the roundabout traffic take the exit "Wohngebiet Neckarbogen".

Low emission zone Heilbronn
From January 1st in 2013, a (green) EURO 4 Sticker is needed to get access to all existing low emission zones in Baden-Wuerttemberg. To avoid problems, please get your sticker before travelling to our Youth Hostel.
Parking slots and shuttle traffic
The Youth Hostel is located at the former "Bundesgartenschau" area "Neckarbogen". Within walking distance you can reach the car parks „Am Bollwerksturm APCOA“ and "Experimenta".
