Welcome in the Youth Hostel Haldensleben

Our newly opend Youth Hostel with camping site and the possibility to logde in a burrow offers the perfect accommodation for families.

Discover the varied landscapes around Haldensleben. The Flechtingen Hills and their mixed woods, the quarries, the Drömling region and its extensive wetlands, Letzlinger Heath and the fertile croplands of the Börde all come together here. There is also an unique sight to see in the city: The mounted Roland statue is the only one of its kind in Europe. It is regarded as one of the highlights in Roland sculptural art, and stands in front of the town hall of Haldensleben.

The "historic square mile" is another attraction. This is the name given to the area between Haldensleben, Süplingen, Bebertal and Hundisburg. Central Europe's largest megalithic tomb field, which covers 83 prehistoric graves, is located here. The "Teufelsküche" and "Küchentannen" tombs are particularly interesting to see.

Activities

Haldensleben Youth Hostel is an ideal starting point for walks in the Colblitz-Letzlinger Heath or activities in the city. There are green ridges to discover and pretty houses nestled around market square to admire. The mounted Roland statue is the only one of its kind in Europe and is the symbol of Haldensleben. Another unique site is not far from Haldensleben: the largest field of connected megalithic graves on our continent. Hundisburg castle, the region's cultural centre, is also nearby.
The Rolli-Bad water park is an attraction for large and small visitors all year round. Active holidaymakers can choose one of the tours on the Aller-Elbe Cycling Route, some of which lead along the Mittellandkanal's banks or lead to Hundisburg castle.
