A thousand years old and quite alive! The old imperial city with its cobbled streets is the right place for city strollers and history buffs. The medieval old town centre with its imposing imperial palace and the disused Rammelsberg silver mine are on the UNESCO list of cultural and natural heritage sites. In the old town you'll discover the old Frankenberg miners' settlement and, in the centre, the impressive market square with the Gothic town hall.
The youth hostel, a charming, half-timbered building, is located at the foot of the Rammelsberg mountain and is ideal for individual travellers and families, sports and music groups, school trips as well as conferences and seminars in an atmosphere close to the city. We offer various packages on the theme of nature and team building, but also for sporting and cultural experiences in Goslar and the Harz mountains. You can borrow balls for table tennis, there is a football and volleyball court, a basketball hoop and a playground. The meadow opposite is used for tobogganing and skiing in winter.
Off into nature! On the forest adventure path or the forest playground with its impressive winding tower, the little ones get their money's worth. Most of the tourist highlights can be easily reached from Goslar by public transport. Goslar has a forest swimming pool, an open-air swimming pool, a mini-golf course, an indoor swimming pool suitable for competitive sports and a skateboarding and inline skating track with ramps near the town. The Harzarena with trails for all tastes is recommended, as is the bike park in Hahnenklee. The Harz Cycle Path R1 is also easily passable with trekking bikes. A bicycle cellar is available.Highlights
