Breisach - the first European town in Germany: a border town on the Rhine and the "bridge to Europe". Even from a distance, St Stephen's Cathedral attracts visitors. At the top of it, a magnificent panorama unfolds: See the Kaiserstuhl mountain, the Vosges and Black Forest at a glance.
And the Rhine flows through the middle of it all. A contested area steeped in history, discovered by the Romans. Embattled castles, mighty fortresses and cities recount fascinating tales of times gone by. You can live well and enjoy yourself here - with good food and culture.
Everything's possible! Culture, sports and games or just relaxing? In Breisach Youth Hostel, there are many options. Exhausted after a memorable day? Vitamins and a balanced diet from our kitchen will provide you with some fresh energy! Recovered or still got some energy? There's plenty of space to run around on our sports field - you can play volleyball, basketball, table tennis and football. Is the weather bad for once? There are also exciting things to do indoors - billiards, table tennis or other games. What do you want to do first?
The hostel is on the southwestern outskirts of the town on the Rhine. A nice walk along the Rhine to the town centre will take you about 15 minutes. The walk to the train station takes about 10 minutes.
Breisach Youth Hostel has been certified for sports groups. The existing partnerships with sports organizations, the proximity to the municipal stadium, the sports field on the hostel grounds and the modern rooms with shower/toilet are ideal conditions for this profile.
The Youth Hostel team is looking forward to your visit!
