Brunswick is with 250.000 inhabitants the second largest city of the state of Lower Saxony. It owns historically as presently importance. Brunswick combines tradition and science, as well as urban flair and nature. Brunswicks History was characterized in particular by “Heinrich the lion”, Duke of Saxony, in the Middle age. He established its reputation as a cultural and social center, especially by constructing the Castle “Dankwarderode” and the Dome. Today, Brunswick still owns a wide cultural offer, characterized by historically and modern architecture. In the city center many cafes and restaurants invite you for a rest. Furthermore the castle of Brunswick offers a special shopping experience. Several large park areas are located in walking distance to the city center, the Oker river invites to a boats tour around the city center.

The new opened youth hostel in the city center of Brunswick is one of the most modern youth hostels in Northern Germany, and the perfect base for your exploration. Offers for all age guests, the youth hostel is the perfect accommodation for school classes, families and leisure groups. But also seminar and conference groups are welcome.
