The DJH youth hostel on the Kaulberg in Bamberg
Winding alleyways, baroque facades, mysterious stores and numerous water veins: you will find all of this in the heart of Bamberg, which has been a World Heritage Site since 1993. Our youth hostel with its 31 rooms is located on the edge of the old town with a view of the imperial cathedral.
From here it is only a few minutes' walk to the center. Wherever you look, you will find sights in the small Upper Franconian metropolis.
Did you know, for example, that Bamberg, like Rome, was built on 7 hills? This has also earned the city the nickname "Franconian Rome".
You can also explore our city from the water and take in the sights at your leisure.
Are you a culture fan with a desire for exercise and action?
A table tennis table, table football and a pool table await your matches in our leisure room.
You are welcome to park your bikes in our shelter, the cycle path runs right past our premises.
The nearest playgrounds are not far away. There are plenty of climbing and hiking opportunities in the surrounding area.
People with physical disabilities will also find the right accommodation for their stay with us.
The team at the youth hostel looks forward to your visit.
