The surrounding

The site of our house is really unique. Located in the Rhine-meadows, it provides a relaxed stay- either at a weekend-excursion, the family-holiday, the class trip or a conference. At the same time the youth hostel scores also by its proximity to the city: the impressing museums and sights – such as the world-famous Cologne Cathedral- can be reached fast. Whoever likes to spend his vacation with the children, can naturally look forward to a varied offer of thrilling leisure activities. So for example, the beautiful Cologne Zoo is located in proximity. Further sights, popular not just for families, are for example the Phantasialand, the Chocolate Museum and the tremendous landscapes of the Eifel and the Bergische Land.

The City-Hostel Cologne Riehl is a prime example for a modern city-accommodation. Located quiete and idyllic in the Rhine-meadows, one can reach the city-centre by underground in just about 10 minutes. For the heat supply we are banking consistently on renewable energies. All of the modern rooms are disposed with shower and toilet, and many of them are offering an unique view onto the Rhine. Especially families are looking forward to spacious rooms with separate baths and children`s equipment, available on request. As a partner for urban meetings, we are self-evidently offering our conference- and seminar attendees a professional setting. For that reason, our 11 conference rooms are equipped with most recent presentation-technique. In the fancy dining room not just hungry pupils will gladly enjoy the buffet. A favoured meeting point is the bar, in which big sports events are broadcasted.
