Welcome in the Youth Hostel Halle!

Our Youth Hostel is located in the city center. The central location and the provision of ensuit bathrooms in every room make this an ideal hostel - especially well suited for schools, families and seminar groups. Additionally, the hostel offers special programs and excursions to make your stay on the Saale memorable.

The city of Halle, known in times past for its salt production and once a Hanseatic trade city, is one of the oldest cities in Central Germany, and the largest city in Saxony-Anhalt. It’s still possible to experience the tradition of the salt workers’ guild in the Halle Saline (Salt) Museum. The town is also internationally known as the birthplace of Georg Frideric Handel. Halle commemorated the 250th anniversary of Handel’s death in 2009.
