The County of Bentheim region boasts a fascinating past, and in Bad Bentheim that past really comes to life! Enjoy a leisurely stroll up lovely little stairways and streets. The castle, built almost a thousand years ago, towers above the town. It really is impressive! It offers far-reaching views across to Holland, taking in the Teuto foothills that are dotted with woodland and fens. Marshland and lakes, rivers and canals glitter in the sunshine. Our Youth Hostel is also a place where your imagination can run wild. It is located on the eastern mountain ridge, and the grounds are home to such delights as the remains of a mill dating back more than 200 years!

The Hostel is located on the eastern mountain ridge, half way up to the open-air theatre. Just a stone's throw from the Netherlands, the resort town of Bad Bentheim has awe-inspiring castle grounds and lots of romantic little streets and stairways. The extensive woodland areas and fens are perfect for walking and cycle tours. The Youth Hostel is located on the eastern mountain ridge, some 5 minutes' walk from the town centre.
