The surrounding
Amidst the Siegtal, in the south of the park of nature Bergisches Land, our youth hostel is located. Surrounded by the biggest closed woodland in the region, active-travellers, lovers of nature and little forest-explorers will find here the perfect place for their holiday, weekend- or class trip. The long distance path Natursteig Sieg leads along in proximity of our house and also on the nearby countrylife experience-path wanderers will gain many new impressions. Canoeists overcome the white water rapids of the Sieg, while families are enjoying their cycle-tour on the Siegtalradweg. Apart from the nature, excursions to the experience of nature Panarbora , the mine Grube Silberhard or to the museums-village Altwindeck are highly recommended for the class- or weekend trip.
Our house
Here one stays overnight even in the nature with sufficient comfort. Due to the accessible rooms and restrooms, the stay in our house is also for wheelchair users pleasantly uncomplicated. You can relax in the reader`s corner and enjoy the time together in the discotheque- or movie room. Directly in front of the house, the spacious outdoor area invites for playing and frolicing around. In the forest, little and big explorers can research the flora and fauna. As a music youth hostel, we`re naturally optimally prepared for the demands of choirs and music groups- there`s enough creative open space for rehearsing, singing and common music-making. As a “bed&bike“ accommodation we are certified by the ADFC ( Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrad-Club e.V.) as a cycle-friendly house. Here cyclists will find for example tools for smaller repairs, drying opportunities for wet clothes and a safe placement for the bicycles.
