Out of the city and into the countryside - or out of the countryside and into the city? Both are so close to us! The countryside beyond the northern outskirts of Berlin has a wealth of lakes and rivers with seemingly endless mixed forests - typically heathland - here in Wandlitz Youth Hostel.
