Public transport to the Youth Hostel
Munich / Nuremberg - Plattling - Zwiesel - Grafenau, then take bus line to Waldhäuser. On Saturdays and Sundays, take the bus from Zwiesel fot Grafenau.
The Bayerwald Ticket (takes you through the Bavarian Forest by train and bus) and the RBO (Regionalbus Ostbayern GmbH) tickets are particularly recommendable.

Upon request, the Youth Hostel can arrange for school classes to be picked up at their home town or Spiegelau or Grafenau train station and taken back after their stay.
