Triberg is located in the heart of the Black Forest at an altitude of 600 to 1,000 m, where Germany's highest waterfalls tumble down to the valley over genuine primeval rock and the famous Black Forest Railway runs through the mountains. The hand-carved town hall, the pilgrimage church and the local history museum are all worth a visit. The youth hostel is located on the outskirts of town on a ridge at 840m. It is about 45 minutes' walk from the railway station (altitude difference 120 m).

Triberg is Interregio-Stop on the route Offenburg to Konstanz.
From the main train station to the youth hostel
Take the busline (Linie 7270) to the market place. From there walk approx. 200 m unil you reach the main entrance to the waterfalls, then turn left into the Ludwigstraße. Pass the open air swimming pool and you will reach the youth hostel after 900 meters. It is located at the left hand side.
A transfer bus for school classes to the youth hostel is possible.
With the KONUS card through the black forest region

Rail service for DJH members
The Community Travel GmbH offers DJH members discounted RIT tickets for a return journey within Germany - this applies only in conjunction with stays in a hostel. School classes and groups can make use of this offer. You must carry confirmation of your booking with you when travelling.

Arriving by car/bus
You can reach us via
- Motorway A5, Exit Offenburg, direction Villingen-Schwenningen. Follow the B33 toTriberg
- Motorway A81, Exit Villingen-Schwenningen. Follow the B523 to Villingen and from there the B33 to Triberg.
Follow the main street in Triberg until you reach the main entrance to the waterfalls. There turn left into the Ludwigstraße. Follow the Friedrichstraße and Rohrbacher Straße until you reach the youth hostel. The youth hostel is located at the outskirts on the left hand side. Parking slots are provided at the youth hostel.
