The Youth Hostel is located on the southwestern outskirts of Soest, next to the Jahnstadion and close to Soest Stadthalle.

Our Hostel has 104 beds spread across a total of 19 rooms with 4 and 6 beds as well as 5 rooms for teachers and group leaders with separate WC / washroom. We have a playroom and three day rooms with seating for 25, 32 and 40 people which may be used as seminar rooms or for group activities and cosy get-togethers. We would be happy to provide modern equipment for conferences and seminars. Since 2009 the Youth Hostel has also offered family rooms with up to 6 beds and an en-suite bathroom. What's more, our Hostel has been awarded the coveted "especially suitable for families" label.

Good mood included

Both in and outside the Hostel as well as in the immediate vicinity there is a wide range of leisure activities on offer. A number of table tennis tables and a beach volleyball court will get you competing with your fellow travellers or the other guests. The sports ground in front of the Hostel is also perfect for use as a football training camp. In the winter months you should consider visiting Echtrop's ice skating centre, which is just 15 minutes away by bus. "AquaFun" sports and leisure centre has a sports pool, a slide, saunas and a "wellness paradise", making it ideal for sports enthusiasts and families alike.

Adventures in Soest

Set off and explore
... Soest's beautiful surroundings. We recommend walking to nearby Bad Sassendorf, with its lovely spa facilities. The region's well-maintained cycle paths make for smooth cycle tours. For excursions that take you slightly further afield - to the Möhnesee or Warstein's "Bilsteinhöhle" cave system and the neighbouring wildlife park, for instance - you should consider taking a coach. We offer exciting activity programmes for school pupils: "Circus Dreams at Balloni Circus", for example, supports youngsters' social and physical development, while the interactive "Adventures in Soest" educational programme teaches them how to resolve conflicts fairly and find solutions.
