Locations & directions

Sellin resides in the south-eastern part of Rügen, amid its various spas. The Youth Hostel itself is located immediately by the coastal forest. If you fancy bathing, windsurfing or a walk along the waterfront, it's only 500 metres to the coastline or, in the other direction, to the Sellin lake, which offers a whole range of water sports activities. The Mönchgut peninsula to the south is a great place for enjoying magnificent views - climb to one of its viewpoints and enjoy the sweeping and completely unspoilt views in all directions.

Once you've climbed down again, there are three attractions in the region that you shouldn't miss: the Baltic resort of Binz, Prora and the Jasmnd national park with its famous chalk rocks. And if you still have a bit of time left over, add Hiddensee, Kap Arkona, the residence city of Putbus and the hanseatic city of Stralsund to your agenda.
