Schwäbisch Hall Youth Hostel
The scenic Kocher river flows through the town. The "Burgenstraße" ("Castle Road"), the "Kocher-Jagst Radweg" ("Kocher-Jagst cycle path") and the Way of St James all go through Schwäbisch Hall.
In the summer, the curtain rises on the famous open-air festival on the large flight of stairs in front of the church of St Michael. Art fans are attracted to the Kunsthalle Würth. Car fans are drawn to Langenburg Castle and its car museum. And anyone wishing to see the Swabian-Hall Swine will go to the Freilandmuseum (open-air museum) in Wackershofen. A British film magnate wanted to stop in Schwäbisch Hall for a short coffee break - and stayed for eight days. He was right to do so.
