Location & Arrival
The municipality of Schluchsee is situated on the lake of the same name, about 950 m above sea level. The altitude of the village and the scenery - with mountains and valleys - make for attractive hiking and sightseeing excursions. The accredited health resort, famous for its air, is the ideal resort for all seasons. The hostel is situated on a promontory right on the lake.

Arriving by public transport
The hostel is about 1 km away from Schluchsee station.
Cross the railway tracks and follow the lakeside path to the right. The trail goes along the tracks straight to the hostel.

We are offering a special service for your stay: Next to several benefits on many attractions in the Black Forest you can take busses and trains within the KONUS area with your KONUS card for free.You will get this Black Forest guest card with your registration at our Hostel. The guest card is labeld with the KONUS icon and turns into your free ticket. You only have to pay the usual spa tax.
Please note: the KONUS card is valid from the check in at your host until the day you leave. So KONUS can be used at departure, but not at arrival.

Rail service for DJH members
The Community Travel GmbH offers DJH members discounted RIT tickets for a return journey within Germany - this applies only in conjunction with stays in a hostel. School classes and groups can make use of this offer. You must carry confirmation of your booking with you when travelling.

Tickets will be sent by post or online by e-mail. In the event of a cancellation, the ticket may be returned free of charge to the agency up to the first day of travel.
Arriving by car/bus
From Freiburg, drive on the B31 to Titisee-Neustadt and then continue on the B500 that goes past Schluchsee lake. At the big crossroads at the entrance of Schluchsee, turn right into the "Wolfsgrund" district. Now follow the road "Im Wolfsgrund". After 1 km, cross the railway bridge and you'll be right in front of the hostel.
