In order for guests with impaired mobility to fully enjoy their stay, this Youth Hostel has been designed to meet the needs of wheelchair users who can move their wheelchair without assistance.

Our tip: the terms "suitable for wheelchairs" and "wheelchair-friendly" don't always tell you everything you need to know. Before deciding on a stay with us, ask the Youth Hostel management for in-depth advice.

Our Hostel offers:
2 rooms are suitable for wheelchair users (2 single beds, one bunk bed)
Wheelchair-friendly showers for a maximum of 6 wheelchair users
The common showers on the floors are not suitable for wheelchairs!
The doors to all rooms with washbasins are wide enough for wheelchairs
Ground-level access to the Hostel
No door sills in the building
Toilet for wheelchairs on the ground floor
All the rooms in the Hostel can be easily reached with a lift
Groups with disabled group members can be seated together in the dining room (reserved tables)
The campsite sanitary block has a toilet for wheelchair users (showers not accessible for wheelchairs)
Free parking spaces in front of the Hostel.

S-Bahn station
The local S-Bahn train station has a lift to the platform.
Footpath from the station to the Youth Hostel is partially tarmac, partially rubble and has sections that lead steeply downhill.

What to expect:
Safe storage of your bike, drying facilities, cycling maps or suggestions for cycling routes, a wholesome cyclists' breakfast and tools for minor repairs. Luggage transport from the train station to the Youth Hostel can be arranged upon request (subject to a fee).
You can also rent GPS navigation systems from us if you are staying for a longer period.

In the neighbouring village of Feldafing, you can rent Movelo e-bikes, e.g. at Feldafing City Hall, Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth in Feldafing, Gasthof zur Linde restaurant in Wieling.
A charging station for Movelo e-bikes is about 2 km away.

Cycling routes
Possenhofen is not directly located along any well-known long-distance cycling routes.
However, the local network of cycling routes in the "five-lakes region" is varied and ideal for families, and the Ammersee Cycling Route is not far.

The "five-lakes region" consists of the following lakes: Ammersee, Starnberg Lake, Pilsensee, Wörthsee and Wesslinger See. More information on cycling routes in the "five-lakes region":

By the way: In Tutzing, there is a beautiful beer garden directly upon the lake. It is about a 30-minute bike ride to the beer garden.
