From a wealthy Hanseatic town to a modern university city: Lüneburg is one of the most beautiful medieval cities of northern Germany. The Youth Hostel is situated on the southern outskirts of the city, next to the university. The city centre is a 30-minute walk away or a 10-minute bus ride.

Our Youth Hostel offers plenty of interesting possibilities to help you wind down. This is complemented by our attractive offers for holding seminars, courses and conferences. Individual guests, families, hiking, youth and sports groups, as well as school classes are welcome at any time.

From a wealthy Hanseatic town to a modern university city: Lüneburg is one of the most beautiful medieval cities of northern Germany. The Youth Hostel is situated on the southern outskirts of the city, next to the university. The city centre is a 30-minute walk away or a 10-minute bus ride.

  • We have single to six-bed rooms, all furnished with washing facilities, to accommodate up to 148 guests. Two thirds of our rooms have their own en-suite bathroom. There are also more showers and toilets on the each floor. During their stay our guests can make use of:
  • a dining room with conservatory
  • 4 common rooms (for 30-90 people)
  • a table tennis and party room
  • an open-air lab
  • a log cabin
  • for conferences, courses and recreational activities
  • Individual guests and families can withdraw to a small, cosy common room.
