Where the Spreewald forest is the most pristine, right at its heart, that's where the town of Lübben lies. Its location between the lower and upper Spreewald forest makes it an ideal base for tours of the romantic and mysterious landscape. In the vastness of the intact Spreewald countryside, you can enjoy the uniqueness of this natural paradise, especially in and around Lübben.

Leisure activities

Our hostel is right on the main Spree river and on the outskirts of the town of Lübben, surrounded by meadows and fields. Even from a distance, you can see the stork's nest on the hostel's premises. The Spreewald forest has been designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO and is, therefore, an ideal area for nature lovers to explore on land or on water. The hostel is a good base for various destinations in the upper or lower Spreewald forest and for day trips to Dresden, Berlin or Potsdam
