Overlooked by Burg Gutenfels, the town of Kaub, known for its connection to Blücher, lies in the wonderful Middle Rhine Valley next to the world-famous toll castle Pfalzgrafenstein. The famous Lorelei Rock rises from where the Rhine has dug its way in tight bends through the Hunsrück and Taunus mountains. Dotted with castles, the Rhine Valley is bursting with places to visit and explore on foot, for example by taking the famous Rheinsteig trail.
