Hahnenklee-Bockswiese with its healing climate is situated on a sun-open high plateau in the midst of dreamlike nature, not far from the Bocksberg with its diverse leisure activities. One highlight is the famous Hahnenklee Walpurgis celebrations on 30 April, when witches and devils get up to mischief.

Our youth hostel is located in the Bockswiese district. Whether you're an individual traveller or a family (and you're welcome to bring your dog!), in a group or as a class, you're sure to feel right at home here. School classes and youth groups benefit from our active package programs. Families and groups can book mountain bike and ski weekends with us. The cable car and lifts to the Bocksberg summit are within easy reach. Down the mountain, the summer toboggan run provides an adrenaline kick. The same goes for the BikePark Hahnenklee with adventurous tours through the nature of the Upper Harz. The Bocksberg cable car takes you and your bike up the mountain. The descent into the valley is fast. The park offers various routes that are designed to keep both beginners and pros happy. If that's not enough: in 31 towns between Bad Grund and Blankenburg, Goslar and Bad Sachsa you can use the 74 MTB routes of the Volksbank Arena Harz - from "flat and lovely" to "steep and unforgiving".  

The Liebesbankweg, a 7 km circular trail with lovingly designed benches, the picturesque Oberharz reservoirs and colourful flowering mountain meadows, is wonderfully varied. The imperial town of Goslar is not far away, as is Clausthal-Zellerfeld with its mining museum and Germany's largest wooden church. The cave adventure centre with the Iberger DripstoneCave and the "Kuttelbacher Teich" bathing area, probably the most beautiful natural pool in the Harz, are also great.
