300 herb species, an "international insect hotel", a water wheel and natural vegetation including snakeweed, willowherb and hawkweed are just some of the highlights on the Hostel's own nature trail, which winds its way around the Youth Hostel in its idyllic setting near the Preßnitz Valley in the central Ore Mountains. A designated Environmental | Youth Hostel, the mill is a listed building built in 1812, and as such is a real gem itself - whatever the time of year, it always has its own unique charm.
