At the same time, however, this will give you more flexible conditions in case of cancellation. For families and individual travellers, this means that they can cancel 24 hours before arrival. For groups there is a reduced cancellation period of 14 days before arrival. For package tours, a reduced cancellation period of 4 weeks before arrival is possible.

The Rooms
Guests in a Youth Hostel are normally accommodated in dormitories. If rooms are available, single or twin bed rooms can be booked. Rooms for exclusive use can be booked for an additional fee (7,00 - 14,00 €) if available. It is not always possible to accommodate all family members in one room. An early reservation including a note that you are a family is advisable.
Breakfast and bed linen are included in the price – room service is not: usually, you have to change the sheets yourself. The booking of half board is in some Youth Hostel necessary for economic reasons during a stay of three nights or more.
Great value for families
Families with a family membership and at least one minor child pay the junior price when staying in a Youth Hostel in Baden-Württemberg. Children under the age of 3 years travelling with a family membership stay free of charge (board and lodging). Children from 3 to 9 years of age will have a 50 % discount of the junior price.
Great savings for groups
School classes require a group membership in order to stay in a Youth Hostel. Your national Youth Hostel Association can inform you on the terms and conditions. An International Group Guest Card can be obtained in place of membership by groups that are not members of a national association. A group consists of at least four members including the group leader(s). More details >>
