We offer diversity and variety on the menu. Special menues for sportsmen and seminar participants are possible if this is discussed with us well in advance. As far as possible we offer fresh and regional food items. We try to avoid food additives as far as possible but this can not be guaranteed at all times. All food additives and allergens which are subject to labelling in accordance with legal regulations will be displayed separately and/or can be requested. If you are not sure if a special allergen or substance is included, please ask one of your kitchen members. They will inform you.
If you booked full board you will get on request a lunch box for day trips and in the evening a warm meal. For environmental reasons we kindly ask you to bring a lunch box and a drinking bottle with you. “We can't do everything. But asking is free”
We are pleased to offer you vegetarian meals and meals without pork, but is subject to prior arrangement. Special diets like lactose-free and/or gluten-free meals can also be offered if discussed with the hostel managers in good times before (at least two week before arrival). Please note that special diet cost is not in the regular calculation included. Therefore, extra costs can occur.
Love until the last bite! We pay special attention to the catering for our guests. The hostel is certified organic, i.e. part of the food is proven to be organic, fair trade or from the region. Enjoy a varied diet with fresh products - vegetables, fruits, dairy products - and a balanced ratio of nutrients and fibre. Just about everything that makes up a healthy diet and tastes delicious. We can offer special menus for events.
Our meal times:
- The buffet breakfast is served from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
- Lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
- Dinner from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Buffet breakfast: the breakfast buffet includes a variety of breads and rolls from the region, cheese, butter, organic honey, various cold cuts, various home-made jams, muesli, plus milk, cornflakes, quark (curd cheese) or yogurt from the region, apples, vegetables, organic tea, organic coffee, hot chocolate.
Buffet lunch: our hot lunch includes a salad with various dressings, a hot main dish (e.g. tomato chicken stew with wild rice), dessert (e.g. vanilla "pudding" with caramel sauce).
Dinner buffet: our cold dinner includes various varieties of bread from the region, various cheeses, butter, various kinds of cold cuts, vegetables, tea, fruit juice.
