The surrounding
Here industrial history was made- at the approx. 180 hectare huge Landscape Park North, these days no workers are sweating away anymore; nowadays it`s about recreation, adventure and especially a lot of fun. It`s surprisingly green here, and there`s a lot to experience. Diving in the huge Gasometer, climbing in the bunker systems, torches-guidances and many playgrounds for the wee ones. Also excursions through the harbour of Duisburg are popular- the biggest inner harbour in the world. In just 25 minutes you can reach the vibrant city with its shopping facilities, a great cultural offer and interesting sights.
Our house
You will experience industrial culture at close range in the former administration building of the Thyssen steel works. The very special atmosphere and the numerous leisuretime opportunities are cut out for eventful class trips and thrilling family-holidays. Self-evidently you don`t have to renounce comfort in our historical house! The modern rooms are friendly furnished and equipped with separate baths. In the bistro one can relax, and in the media-room 9 computer workstations are at disposal. As a partner for urban meetings, we are offering our conference- and seminar attendees self-evidently a professional setting. Cyclists do appreciate the extra-service of a “bed&bike“ youth hostel.
