Welcome to Saxony's state capital!
"We'll put together your custom-made Dresden itinerary!" - that's the motto of the popular Dresden Jugendgästehaus, which, at the beginning of the new travel season, promptly invites you to come and stay in the state capital. In particular we address older school pupils, students, trainees, families, clubs and individual guests seeking affordable but comfortable accommodation. Bed and breakfast starts at 20 euros per person. Boasting 480 beds, the establishment is Saxony's largest Youth Hostel, and also the regional market leader in its price range. Originally built in 1975 as a "Parteischule" boarding school, today the building is a popular meeting place for guests from around the world. We've even welcomed guests from as far afield as New Zealand and Chile. This renowned Hostel survived the devastating Elbe flooding of 2002, even providing shelter for a number of rescue workers from the Bundeswehr and the THW. There are club/TV rooms on each floor and we can also arrange conferences and scientific excursions.
