Youth hostel with a private beach

A sandy beach stretches for kilometres along the coast from Cuxhaven. The modern hostel is situated in the Duhnen district of Cuxhaven. The 10 km long beach is just a few steps away. The harbour, the wadden sea and the sandy beaches create a unique maritime experience. In the summer, beach handball and volleyball tournaments take place on the hostel's beach. Kite surfers can practise daring jumps in the North Sea waves. And, of course, mudflat walks and river cruises are an absolute highlight in Cuxhaven.

The modern hostel has lots of space and bright rooms where you can feel good. 251 beds, mostly in 4-bed rooms, centrally located showers/toilets, rooms for group leaders, family rooms, club room for group leaders, 2 large dining rooms, common rooms, a TV room with DVD player, W-LAN, family lounge with a play area laundry room with coin-operated washing machine and dryer, disco room for groups, inner courtyard with a slide and outdoor chess set, table tennis, table football, basketball and barbecue facility.

Cuxhaven an der Nordseeküste

Cuxhaven ist das größte deutsche Küstenbad und liegt an der Mündung der Elbe in die Nordsee.  Duhnen liegt nordwestlich von Cuxhaven direkt am Wasser. Geprägt wird der Ort durch reizvolle Gegensätze: Hier trifft der goldfarbende Strand auf die Weite des Wattenmeeres. Highlight ist der 5 km lange Sandstrand in unmittelbarer Nähe der Jugendherberge. In der Hauptsaison können die dort aufgestellten öffentlichen Volleyballnetze und Basketballkörbe auch von den Gästen der Jugendherberge genutzt werden.
