Welcome to Colditz Castle!

In the English-speaking world, "Colditz Castle" is something every school pupil has heard of and it is important to visit it at least once. The castle owes this high degree of recognition to its legendary prisoner-of-war camp during the 2nd World War. The so-called "Oflag IV-C" was where important Allied officers, such as Churchill's nephew, were imprisoned. Their daring escape attempts are still kept alive today in the form of stories, PC games and films.
