Following the road towards Augustusburg, the Youth Hostel is in a quiet location on the eastern outskirts of Chemnitz (5 km from city centre).

The Youth Hostel has 58 beds in rooms with between four and eight beds, a dining room, a club room and two function rooms. Furthermore, the Youth Hostel has a large outdoor area with a football and volleyball field, basketball, table tennis and a barbecue pavilion complete with campfire area. There is a heated swimming tank for up to 12 people as well as a mobile sauna. The Solaris Support Centre's rope-climbing facility is also easy to reach.
