Locations & directions

Located in the "Cappenberger See" recreation area between Lünen and Cappenberg, on the northern shore of the lake.

Our Hostel has 122 beds, spread across 8, 6 and 4-bed rooms. The 7 rooms for teachers and group leaders each have two beds. For lessons, seminars and social get-togethers we have three rooms of varying sizes, holding up to 60, 40 and 30 people respectively. Another room with space for 20 people may also be used. A TV and video recorder as well as a CD player are also available for lessons or recreational use. For conferences and special occasions (football matches, film nights), we also offer a projector with screen (small charge).

Sightseeing and excursions

Cultural highlights include Schwansbell Castle, the museum and doll exhibition in Lünen, and Münster's State Museum of Art and Cultural History, Cathedral and Natural History Museum. The Movie Park Germany in Bottrop is also well worth a visit, as is the famous musical "Starlight Express" in Bochum. Guests who prefer things to be a bit more technical should try visiting the boat lift in Henrichenburg or Bochum's German Mining Museum. There's also the Allwetterzoo in Münster as well as the zoo in Dortmund, or why not discover the nearby "Zeche Zollern" colliery on the Industrial Heritage Trail in Dortmund?
