You really must make sure you travel to Eisenach, which is home to the Wartburg, the Bachhaus, the Lutherhaus and the "Burschenschaftsdenkmal" ("Monument to the Student Fraternities"). Or why not go on an excursion to Bad Liebenstein, with the fabulous park grounds surrounding Altenstein Castle, or perhaps to "Point Alpha" Border Museum.
